I really liked this course very much. I am currently at the start of a project in which I have encountered much resistance from the kick-off meeting onward.
I feel like this course has given me tools to deal with the resistance and to mediate the warring parties. I have a greater sense of confidence that I can do this well, which is great as I would normally run and hide from such conflict.
I highly recommend this course to everyone, as the skills taught can be used in so many situations in life. Thank you Mike.
This is a totally incredible course! My sincere thanks to the instructor, Mike, for putting together an absolutely fantastic material! I am a practicing change manager by education and trade and was looking for some specific and integrative approaches for a particular reason when I signed up for the course. And I got way much more than I even anticipated. The content is extremely precise, valuable, and highly professional. I'm really thrilled that I found and took the course, as it provides perfect applicable and very real, grounded approaches in the field of Change Management. Thank you so much, Mike! This is truly wonderful !! :) I highly recommend it.
Overall a very good intro course to change management. The instructor conveyed core concepts and stages that organizations and individuals go through during large changes. One of the benefits of this class is that you can gain a good understanding of what to expect and some good advice on how to lead during change in just a couple hours.
This is a great course, the structure and content is excellent, and also very practical. The presenter Mike Clayton is also, the best I have encountered so far. I would suggest the course be extended to a diploma certification.
I am doing the course in parallel with working in a change process team at work & my learnings are supporting my contribution to the project & increasing my knowledge/confidence
As a Change Manager, I never thought I would still learn so much from this course. Those tips on how to manage resistors are very helpful because sometimes we often forgot that their opinion also matters and maybe they are might be right on some aspects.
Throughout the course, you will have short exercises to do, that use the skills we'll cover. They are based on a real organizational change project. Other students and your tutor will support you, endorse your successes, and help you with your questions.
Each module has a comments box where you can ask the questions you need answered.
Your tutor is Dr. Mike Clayton. As a senior manager at international consulting firm, Deloitte, Mike had to deal with conflict among staff, and with clients, and even among clients. But more important, as a senior representative of his firm and a program leader, he needed to avoid escalation of conflict.
Now, as a trainer and facilitator, he has been applying what he learned and teaching it to others. This course represents 15 years' experience of what tools students find most helpful, and 25 years experience in business, managing conflicts large and small.
