Lots of Advice for 2021
At this time of year, newsletters, blogs and tip-sheets offer sage advice for the year ahead. How to be a better person, professional, freelance, or project manager, for example.
You’ll recognise the formula:
- A bit of psychology and some suggestions to improve your life.
- Maybe a link to a book the author has written, or one of their courses.
With 14 books and as many video courses under my belt, this leaves me spoilt for choice. But you’re here because you’re interested in Project Management, not personal psychology.
But one thing you should be pondering in this period is your priories for next year. Let 2020 be a year when you make a big step forward in your Project Management career.
Without doubt 2020 will be a big year for Project Management.
The world needs to get back on track, PMI is changing up everything to do with its core project management qualifications, and I’m releasing a new course in February.
What will your 2021 breakthrough be?
Will it be a:
- Qualification?
- Project to deliver?
- Change in the way you do things?
- Significant insight?
- New direction?
Whatever it is you want, answer three questions?
- What will make 2021 a great year for you, professionally
- What are your three top priorities, if you want to make it happen?
- Who will you look to, for advice, knowledge, guidance, and support?

Kit a Project Manager Needs
