Szymon Pawlowski has huge experience in Project Management. He has a strong track record of designing and implementing solutions across project, programme, portfolio, risk management, and PMO domains.

Szymon serves as an internal subject matter expert at PeopleCert, taking care of the continual development of the PRINCE2 portfolio. As well as the core product, it also encompasses PRINCE2 Agile, MSP, MoP, MoR, P3O, and P3M3.

Szymon is the PRINCE2 Product Architect and co-author of PRINCE2 v7 and PRINCE2 Agile v2. That’s why I wanted to speak with him about PRINCE2 Agile.

Szymon and I discussed:

1. What is PRINCE2 Agile?
   Overview of what the method is and what it covers
2. What is Structured Agility?
3. Why do we need PRINCE2 Agile?
4. Given what you’ve told me, who should be considering PRINCE2 Agile certification?
   What level of professional, what contexts and sectors, etc?
5. The framing of PRINCE2 Agile is the Agile Mindset. And it seems to me to link to the concept of BANI, which is an updating of the more familiar VUCA concept (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous)
   Please can you explain BANI and what you see as the resultant Agile Mindset?
6. This edition of PRINCE2 Agile is full of interesting ideas. Szymon picked out three of them, which are key?
   We discussed:
   • Collaborative performance of the processes
   • Agile Artifacts
   • The way PRINCE2 Agile handles changing requirements
7. How can someone secure a PRINCE2 Agile certification?
   Szymon mentions ATPs for learning, the value of the book as a reference, the two tiers of certification, and the nature of the exam.
