What Works Practically

How to lead during change

Overall a very good intro course to change management. The instructor conveyed core concepts and stages that organizations and individuals go through during large changes. The concepts were high level and could have used some more concrete examples. Of course, diving into more detail would have extended the course. On of the benefits of this class is that you can gain a good understanding of what to expect and some good advice on how to lead during change in just a couple hours.

Invest, invest invest!

The best thing about The Project Manager’s Skills Mastery Program is its logical structure. This goes all the way through from being given a project to project closure. What’s more you will be able to do it with your own projects which is the key to the way Mike Clayton has put it together.

LOTS of information that will help me translate PM for our team

The main reasons to buy this course are that it is easy to navigate; broken into very manageable "chunks" that can be completed over time as you can get online and do them (short periods of time); very accessible, understandable, makes the PM jargon easier to grasp for those of us not embroiled in super complex PM organizations (like me in the small nonprofit world!); Mike is engaging and interesting AND he knows his PM stuff!!

What made this course valuable was LOTS of information that will help me translate PM for our team as we roll out a culture shift that will include embedding PM practices into the operations of our programs...a tall order for a small nonprofit operation more used to the "fly by the seat of the pants" approach to PM!

I'd recommend this course to EVERYONE who does any kind of project management in their work life...

Really applicable to my current role

Mike is an excellent and clearly very experienced facilitator. I usually shy away from full video courses however the content was engaging and really applicable to my current role.
