Katie Taylor is the Executive Chair of the Agile Business Consortium and takes the lead on learning and development.

The Agile Business Consortium

The Agile Business Consortium is a global leader in promoting Business Agility, with unrivalled expertise in the field. Their work includes commissioning and engaging in research, market-wide collaborations, and building communities to extend knowledge and develop good practice.

Through her background as a practitioner, consultant and in academia, Katie launched the UK’s first Masters in Agile Leadership, and co-founded the Agile Research Network. She is also part of the team that developed the Consortium’s Competency Framework and Professional Development program.

That’s why I wanted to speak with her about the future of agile project management.

The Future of Agile Project Management

We discussed:

  1. Agile formally came into being in 2001, with the Agile Manifesto. 24 years on, where is it now?
  2. How does Katie compare Business Agile vs Agile PM vs Agile software development?
  3. The Agile Business Consortium recently introduced version 3 of its AgilePM reference book and certification syllabus. What is AgilePM?
  4. Why should project managers consider the AgilePM certification, and who is it best suited to?
  5. Agile has evolved and adapted over the years. What does Katie see as the future of Agile Project Management in general – and the AgilePM approach, in particular?
  6. If people want to find out more about the AgilePM certification or the Agile Business Consortium, or connect with Katie, what are the best ways to do it?
