Elizabeth Harrin’s new book is called: ‘Engaging Stakeholders on Projects: How to harness people power’.
Elizabeth Harrin is an experienced Project Manager who runs:
And, like me, Elizabeth’s an author, with 6 print books to date (including the latest). They are closely related to Project Management.
Engaging Stakeholders on Projects
Elizabeth’s latest book is Engaging Stakeholders on Projects. It was published by the Association for Project Management (APM) on 21 September 2020. So, it’s red-hot off the presses!
So, I wanted to ask Elizabeth some of the questions that occurred to me as I read her book. But the first thing I need to say is how good it is. And I know how hard it is to write a book to a publisher’s brief. Stakeholder engagement is a big topic.
Having read her book, I think Elizabeth’s book will appeal to new project managers – while also having some great insights for experienced PMs.
The Questions You’ll Hear Elizabeth Answer

- What is your favorite part of this book? …and why?
- I particularly liked the section on the Stakeholder Saliency model. Can you tell us what stakeholder saliency is?
- Desert Island Tools time… You’re stranded on a desert island and can only keep one tool to help you manage your stakeholders. (Not so deserted, it seems!) Which one do you choose?
- What is your top piece of advice for Project Managers about stakeholder engagement?
