Martin Paver, CEO: Founder of Projecting Success

Martin Paver is a pioneering force at the intersection of project management and artificial intelligence. With a background leading billion-dollar infrastructure projects, Martin has been thinking hard about the Future of Project Management.

As the founder of Projecting Success, he champions a data-driven approach to transforming project delivery. He established the Project Data Analytics Task Force, created the first project data trusts, and founded Project:Hack and the Project Data Analytics Meetup.

Through open-source publications and training programs, he empowers professionals with advanced data analytics and AI skills to revolutionize how projects are managed and delivered.

That’s why I wanted to speak with Martin about The Future of Project Management

Data Analytics, AI, and the Future of Project Management

Over the last 10 years, Martin Paver has gathered and led a coalition of project professionals to reimagine what project management can be. And his reimagining is rooted firmly in data and data analytics.

We discussed:

  1. Examples of the potential for data analytics to transform the way we deliver projects.
  2. When you use the terms data and data analytics what should project managers understand by these terms?
  3. We can see the first signs of this transformation. But Martin has been thinking deeply about the steps we need to take. I asked him to lay out a road map for us.
  4. Why isn’t this a no-brainer? I would think that people would be queuing up for it. We discuss the barriers and how do we overcome them.
  5. To make progress, we need to take concrete steps. Martin sets out the next steps that the profession needs to take.
  6. Martin gives us his personal vision for what is truly possible, with the technology we have and the tools we can build, for the future of project management.
