You need to factor in quiet time. Ensure you have time over a number of days/weeks - this is too much to do in one or two sittings. Don't be afraid to go over sections again and again if needed - this was really helpful. Was good to be able to go back over sections and repeat them. Learned some new skills and went over/refreshed on others. I would recommend this course to other colleagues.

I started my career as a PM at IBM Brazil. At that time, PMI Institute was not even founded. But, I did get certified at a corresponding degree. I've acted as a PM for 20 years and then as a Business Process Manager. I'm now enrolled into a PMO building process.

I would definitely recommend this course, I really enjoyed the structure of the content and the bite sized learning videos along with all the resources. It provides a great starting point. You have managed to make some of the more challenging aspects of PM eg work breakdown structure much better to understand. If someone was totally new to PM they would certainly develop enough knowledge to be able to apply this to their work with plenty of tools and resources to try out.

I have gained a better grasp of the models, techniques and strategies in PM that I can now apply to my work. This is supplemented by the templates you have provided that I can use and adapt to my work. I feel I have gained confidence in my abilities as I realise my approach to PM were the techniques and strategies you shared without me realising this was the case. I feel I am not a traditional PM but do manage projects. I now feel I have been able to label these with the correct names and follow through fully. I would welcome information on other PM methodologies such as agile and waterfall but you may cover these in other courses. I would also welcome more real life examples which shared some of challenges PM's faced and how they overcame these though using these techniques and strategies. This is where I have a stumbling block.

Since this is a free course, I would say, what are you waiting for? I found the 4 sessions to be very beneficial and the suggestions will be very easy to implement.

I've never heard of the Next Bend, but that's definitely something I will be incorporating ASAP. I tend to miss the forest because I'm too focused on the trees. So taking a few minutes every so often to reflect on the overall project, and its purpose will help me be a more successful project manager.

I recommend this to anyone curious about managing projects officially, or PMs just starting out. I think it would also be a great refresher for the more seasoned PM as it's easy to fall into a slump and forget about the standards.

I also tried a course on Coursera (MOOC) but it did not work as the time to complete the course is very limited which means I had to pay more and yet I had no job at the time. If you are not managing very complex projects this is a very good course to take and apply the learning as it is practical and the information is digestible. Please take this course and you will become more effective. This is what I would tell them.

I struggled a lot with managing stakeholders. External changes not withstanding, they don't keep promises which complicates project timelines. With the stakeholder management tools, I am now able to obtain a commitment from them. Please note that thisis because I work in the humanitarian sector and like the public sector, there is little accountability from project stakeholders. Managing them well with the help of the tools will reduce conflicts and stress and lead to productivity.

Another benefit is the risk management stage. I am now equipped to identify the risks to my Talent Acquisition projects, categorize them, and record them in a register. I feel empowered.

I am in HR management so I would recommend this to my peers. The reason is we are frequently undertaking assignments that we can better drive if we treat them as projects.

I went through a big chunk of your content between November 2020 and November 2021, when I decided to buy the Fast Start Program, and then some other courses, to have something that was better structured. I will highly recommend the course, because it is very well structured, because it comes in three tiers (fast start, skills mastery, immersion) and because it has a very good coverage of the subject of project manangement. AND because you have great YouTube channels and are accessible. (1) A great understanding of the project lifecycle, (2) a deep deep understanding of project planning (stakeholders, milestones, WBS and other BS, Gantt [and other] charts, resource planning) (3) many tools and templates. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in gaining project management skills.

This course puts the CE in MECE. It really covers everything you need to know about project management in detail. I think even people familiar with project management (as I was) will benefit from it.

(1) I came out of it with a complete overview of project management at different levels of granularity.
(2) It helped me build my own "Project Management Dashboard" with notes, documents, resources, etc. that I can take along with me for future project.
(3) It infused me with confidence.

I would recommend this to people who care about learning PM in the private sector (who don't necessarily care about official certifications etc.). Anyone who wants a complete overview that is exhaustive but not exhausting should give this a go.

It is a good course with useful techniques related to practical examples that are broken down into easily digestible amounts. A bank of tools and techniques to apply and use going forward. The visuals are particularly helpful for me as a visual learner. It has helped me see that I already use many of the techniques but that they actually have names - this has built my confidence in my abilities to manage projects.

I would suggest people try your free courses - they are a refresher on the 4 phases of a project. Suitable for any Project Manager looking for online training.

The main reasons to buy this course are that it is easy to navigate; broken into very manageable "chunks" that can be completed over time as you can get online and do them (short periods of time); very accessible, understandable, makes the PM jargon easier to grasp for those of us not embroiled in super complex PM organizations (like me in the small nonprofit world!); Mike is engaging and interesting AND he knows his PM stuff!!

What made this course valuable was LOTS of information that will help me translate PM for our team as we roll out a culture shift that will include embedding PM practices into the operations of our programs...a tall order for a small nonprofit operation more used to the "fly by the seat of the pants" approach to PM!

This PM course provides you with all the tools and techniques to manage a project. It is useful for both Project support and management roles. All the templates that are provided can be easily adapted to make it relevant to the project. I liked the understanding of the full PM process and being able to adapt elements of the course to support the delivery of my role as a project coordinator. Also, access to the templates as I can use and adapt these accordingly. For me, I wouldn't change or add anything in particular. Personally, I would have liked to have given more time to the course, listening to podcasts, taken more notes etc. but thank fully I still have access to the course, and have downloaded the information made available. I would definitely recommend to colleagues within the NHS who may be in a similar role to me.
