Andreanna Marshall

Andreanna Marshall – or Dre Marshall – has worked in the tech industry for almost 10 years. After starting her career in 2013 as an Executive Assistant to the CTO of an education software company, she became a Scrum Master. This helped her to transition to a Program Manager role at Nike. Dre is currently a Sr. Program Manager at Amazon.

In 2022, Dre became a Professional Scrum Trainer at Scrum.org and offers training through her business, Project Academy. She runs a great YouTube channel with the same name, alongside co-hosting a new YouTube podcast ‘Not Scrum Dumb’ with Scott Adams (not the Dilbert guy!).

That’s why I wanted to speak with Andreanna about building a career in IT Project Management.

1. How Dre started out in Project Management, and what advice she gives.
2. From her experience, how Dre compares predictive, hybrid, and pure-play Scrum projects.
3. Dre recently became a Professional Scrum Trainer, on top of her day job at Amazon. I asked what the scrum framework offers to project managers.
