The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) formally recognizes a knowledge of agile principles and skill with agile techniques. The PMI-ACP spans different approaches to agile such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, extreme programming (XP), and test-driven development (TDD.) It will increase your versatility, wherever your projects may take you.
Pre-requisites: To be eligible for the PMI-ACP® credential, the candidate must meet professional and academic criteria established by The Project Management Institute. Depending on your level of education, you must meet on or other of the following requirements:
With Honours Degree
- Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
- 8 months of agile team experience within the last 5 years
- 30 contact hours of formal education
Without Honours Degree
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
- 12 months working on project teams within the last 5 years
- 8 months working on project teams using agile methodologies. This experience must have been earned in the last 3 years (and in addition to the 12 months project teams experience)
- 30 contact hours of formal education
